Data Governance Analyst

Location: London, UK
Working Model: Work from Office
Experience Required: 8+ Years

Role Overview

IBU is looking for experienced Data Governance Analysts to support enterprise data governance initiatives. The role will focus on improving data management practices, ensuring data quality, supporting regulatory compliance, and implementing governance frameworks across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and execution of enterprise data governance frameworks.
  • Define and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Work with business data owners and technology teams to improve data quality.
  • Perform data quality assessments and recommend remediation actions.
  • Support metadata management, data cataloguing, and business glossary activities.
  • Establish data ownership and stewardship processes.
  • Monitor compliance with data governance standards.
  • Support regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Prepare governance reports, dashboards, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology functions.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Data Governance and Data Management.
  • Experience with data quality management and assessment.
  • Understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks including:
    • DAMA-DMBOK
    • DCAM
  • Knowledge of data regulations and compliance requirements:
    • GDPR
    • CCPA
    • HIPAA
    • SOX
  • Experience with data governance processes, controls, and operating models.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working within large enterprise environments.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance.
