Data Insights Analyst

Job Description

Turn data into decisions. Drive meaningful change. Shape the future of our services.

At Fedcap UK, data isn't just about reporting numbers, it's about improving lives. We're looking for an analytical and curious Data Insights Analyst who can transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence decisions across the organisation.

Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams and business development colleagues, you'll uncover trends, identify opportunities and help shape how we deliver services, improve performance and grow our impact.

If you enjoy asking "Why is this happening?" rather than simply reporting "What happened?", this could be the perfect role for you.

Salary: £37,000 to £45,000

Location: Reading

Hours: 37.5 hours

Travel: Only required on rare occasions

What You'll Be Doing

You'll use data to help answer some of the Fedcap’s biggest questions, your duties will include:

  • Turning complex data into clear, meaningful insights that support better decision-making.
  • Identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve operational performance and customer outcomes.
  • Creating engaging insight reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Domo.
  • Combining internal data with external research, market intelligence and sector insights to provide a complete picture.
  • Supporting senior leaders with evidence-based recommendations that influence strategy.
  • Using predictive and scenario-based analysis to help the organisation plan for the future.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Service Improvement, Customer Experience, Commercial Growth and Leadership to ensure insight leads to action.
  • Championing high-quality data and helping embed a culture of continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems and can translate data into stories that people understand. You'll have:

  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Domo or similar data visualisation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
  • Experience presenting data in a way that influences decisions and drives action.
  • The ability to combine multiple data sources to create meaningful business insight.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence working alongside stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
  • A logical, detail-focused approach while always keeping sight of the bigger picture.
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
