Data & Integration Engineer – Healthcare Systems
Role Overview
We're looking for a Data & Integration Engineer to help design, build, and maintain interoperability solutions across our healthcare systems. You’ll ensure seamless data exchange between EHR platforms, third-party applications, and internal systems, leveraging proven healthcare technology stacks and coding in languages like Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HL7 FHIR and HL7 v2 integrations.
- Configure and manage middleware platforms (e.g. Ensemble, Mirth Connect, Azure Integration Services, or Rhapsody).
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and lead root cause analysis.
- Document integration architecture and data flows.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in healthcare IT integration.
- Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, and interoperability standards.
- Proficiency with at least one integration engine (e.g. Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf).
- Strong SQL and scripting skills (Python or JavaScript preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based integration (Azure, AWS).
- Good understanding of SDLC, networking, infrastructure, DevOps, and Linux environments.

What We Offer
- Base Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
- Bonus: 20% on individual performance, 10% on company performance
- 25 days holiday
