Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join Company 3, who provide Colour, Finishing and Sound Post-production on many prestigious UK and international productions from their base in Chancery Lane, London. You will be working as an integral member of the data operations team, supporting our shortform post-production business.
Responsibilities
- Metadata and SAN management.
- QC of VFX and conform pulls.
- Handle client and internal assets (i.e. hard drive copies onto / from SAN).
- Archive material onto LTO tapes.
- Efficiently transfer data within and outside the building, using different tools and platforms (i.e. Mac, Aspera, Signiant).
- Transcode files, while adhering to spec.
- Will actively train on Baselight and Resolve.
- Hand over any remaining tasks to the rest of the team at the end of the shift, in a clear and concise manner.
- Carry and complete tasks handed over by the previous shift.
- Occasionally act as London Data IO point of contact internally, locally and globally (shift and staff availability dependent).
- Maintaining best practices for content security and client confidentiality.
- Maintain and contribute the development of processes by keeping up with current trends and techniques
Experience
- Experience of working as a Data IO Technician
- Experience using a ticketing system (e.g. CETA)
- Experience working with industry-standard data transfer platforms (e.g. Aspera and Signiant) is desirable

Skills
- Understanding of LTO formats and specifications
- Understanding of network and server environments
- Understanding of digital camera formats (e.g. ARRI, RED and Phantom).
- Understanding of ALE and EDL files
- Understanding of colour science, including LUT applications and colour spaces
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Flexible and adaptable to meet changing client and studio requirements
- Friendly, approachable and professional in manner
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a positive, proactive, and "can-do" attitude

Hours of Work
Standard 40-hour work week, Monday – Friday. However, due to the nature of the role, some weekends, late evenings and public holiday working maybe required, depending on project demands
