Position: Data Lead - Azure, SAP S/4HANA & Analytics Employment Type: Contract Start: ASAP (June/July 2026) Duration: 9 Months Location: Cambridgeshire, UK (Hybrid - 2 days per week office) Language(s): English

Role – We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to drive a business-critical data transformation programme within a complex manufacturing and supply chain environment. This is a leadership role responsible for delivering data readiness across multiple enterprise platforms, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and trusted data to support testing, cutover, go-live, and operational readiness activities. You will lead a hybrid onsite-offshore delivery team, working closely with business stakeholders, programme leadership, and technology teams to accelerate data transformation outcomes while leveraging modern Azure-based analytics and data platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities: Data Transformation Leadership Lead and accelerate an existing enterprise data workstream. Define and drive the data readiness roadmap across testing, cutover, deployment, and operational activities. Act as the onsite lead for data delivery, coordinating with offshore resources and programme stakeholders. Manage risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations across the data landscape. Data Management & Governance Identify, manage, and govern data across: Master Data Transactional Data Operational Data Supply Chain Data Drive data quality, completeness, consistency, and validation activities. Establish governance processes and controls to support successful programme delivery. Platform & Integration Management Ensure data consistency across enterprise systems including: SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Planning and Supply Chain platforms Reporting and Analytics environments Support integration and data harmonisation across multiple business domains. Azure Data & Analytics Drive adoption and optimisation of: Azure Data Lake Azure Data Factory Microsoft Fabric SQL Power BI Support development of scalable analytics, reporting, and data lake solutions. Enable business insights through modern cloud-based data platforms. Stakeholder & Team Leadership Collaborate with stakeholders across: Finance Manufacturing Operations Supply Chain Technology Teams Lead and govern offshore delivery teams including technical leads, developers, and business analysts. Engage with programme leadership, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Skills: Proven experience leading Data Management, Data Engineering, or Data Migration programmes. Strong track record delivering data workstreams within large transformation programmes. Hands-on experience with: Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2) Azure Data Factory (ADF) Microsoft Fabric SQL Power BI Experience working with: SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing systems Planning and Supply Chain platforms Strong understanding of: Data Quality Data Governance Data Lifecycle Management Master and Transactional Data Experience managing onsite-offshore delivery models. Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills. Strong programme execution, problem-solving, and escalation management capabilities.
