Data Management Business Analyst

£475 per day PAYE | 4-6 Month Contract | August Start | London Hybrid

We're supporting a leading Reinsurance client on a data management and governance initiative and are looking for an experienced Data Management Business Analyst to join the team. This role will support a new Data Governance programme due to commence in 2027. As part of the discovery and pilot phase, you'll work alongside the Data Governance Project Manager to review data management processes across 16 key systems and support the assessment of the Accentric AI data management platform.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: Initial 4-6 months
  • Start: Subject to onboarding and interview 2-3 weeks turnaround
  • Rate: £475 per day PAYE
  • Location: Hybrid – London (typically 2 days per week on-site)

Key Experience Required:

  • Strong Data Management experience
  • Good Business Analysis experience
  • Technology background with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience documenting systems, data flows, data ownership and governance processes
  • Exposure to data governance, data retention, data quality or metadata management initiatives
  • Insurance or Reinsurance experience preferred
  • Strong Financial Services experience will also be considered

  • Support the Data Governance Project Manager on the programme
  • Review and analyse data management practices across 16 key systems
  • Understand system landscapes, data ownership and retention requirements
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders
  • Support the pilot and evaluation of the Accentric AI platform
  • Produce BA deliverables including requirements, process maps, gap analyses and recommendations

Ideal candidates will have a strong data background, solid BA experience and proven stakeholder management skills gained within Insurance, Reinsurance or broader Financial Services environments.
