Data Manager (Contract Outside IR35)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial contract with potential extension

Are you an experienced Data Manager with expert iSAMS knowledge? We're looking for an experienced Data Manager to join a leading independent education organisation in Edinburgh on an Outside IR35 contract.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of the organisation's data management, reporting, and MIS function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of critical information that supports both operational and strategic decision-making.
Please note: Proven iSAMS experience within the education sector is an essential requirement. Unfortunately, applications without this experience cannot be considered.

The Role
- Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing the College's data systems, developing insightful reporting and dashboards, maintaining high standards of data quality, and acting as the subject matter expert for iSAMS.
- You'll play a key role in helping the organisation maximise the value of its data while supporting users across the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Data Manager, MIS Manager, or Data Specialist.
- Extensive hands-on experience of iSAMS within an education environment.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimise complex queries.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis, and data modelling.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data management, governance, and data quality.
- Experience supporting Management Information Systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
