Data Manager (Contract Outside IR35)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial contract with potential extension

Are you an experienced Data Manager with expert iSAMS knowledge? We're looking for an experienced Data Manager to join a leading independent education organisation in Edinburgh on an Outside IR35 contract.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of the organisation's data management, reporting and MIS function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and accessibility of critical information that supports both operational and strategic decision making.
The Role
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing the College's data systems, developing insightful reporting and dashboards, maintaining high standards of data quality and acting as the subject matter expert for iSAMS. You'll play a key role in helping the organisation maximise the value of its data while supporting users across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for iSAMS.
- Manage and maintain the integrity of the College's data.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and databases.
- Produce meaningful reports, dashboards and management information.
- Create advanced Excel reporting models and analysis.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and visualisations.
- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of the Management Information System.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance and compliance.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and business processes.
- Support system integrations and data projects where required.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Manager, MIS Manager or Data Specialist.
- Extensive hands-on experience of iSAMS within the education sector.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel reporting and data analysis.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data management and governance.
- Experience supporting Management Information Systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience within an independent school or further education environment.
- Knowledge of data migration and system integration.
- Experience improving reporting and business intelligence capabilities.

Essential Requirement
