About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Mapping Analyst to support a critical Banking Migration programme. You will play a key role in understanding banking application data, mapping data across workstreams, and ensuring accurate and compliant migration from legacy systems to new solutions. This is an onshore UK-based role with direct engagement across engineering, business, and compliance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong working knowledge of banking applications and the data underpinning them
- Translate migration requirements into detailed data attributes across workstreams
- Understand and manage data synchronisation and reconciliation across data transfer files
- Design and implement effective database queries to match, retrieve, and extract data
- Identify database structural requirements by evaluating migration operations, applications, and engineering
- Assess database implementation procedures for compliance with internal and external regulations
- Oversee the end-to-end migration of data from legacy systems to new platforms
- Support and provide consultancy to database engineering teams
- Recommend improvements to JCL queries and Oracle/Mainframe database queries

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of banking applications and underlying data structures
- Demonstrable experience in data migration, including ETL tooling
- Solid understanding of data synchronisation and reconciliation across transfer files
- Ability to design and execute effective database queries (Oracle/Mainframe)
- Familiarity with JCL queries and legacy mainframe environments
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in a banking context
