Data Migration Lead - ERP
Belfast - Hybrid
Contract - 6 months
Join an organisation embarking on a major ERP transformation programme focused on strengthening data quality, optimising business processes, and enhancing reporting capability across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data professional to take ownership of critical data workstreams and play a key role in shaping how business data is structured, governed, and utilised for the future.

The role
The organisation is undertaking a significant ERP transformation designed to modernise systems, streamline processes, improve reporting, and drive operational efficiency.
Working closely with the ERP project team, technical partners, and senior business stakeholders, you will take responsibility for assessing existing data landscapes, improving data quality, supporting migration readiness, and implementing sustainable master data governance practices.

Key responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of the master data strategy for a major ERP implementation
- Review and assess data sources across ERP platforms, spreadsheets, databases, and existing business processes
- Partner with stakeholders to understand current challenges and define future-state data requirements
- Lead data cleansing, standardisation, validation, and improvement initiatives across key business areas
- Manage critical datasets including customer, product, supplier, pricing, finance, and operational data
- Support data mapping, migration planning, uploads, testing, and UAT activities
- Develop processes and controls to maintain accurate, reliable master data throughout the transformation journey
- Help establish the future master data operating model, including ownership, governance, reporting frameworks, and controls
- Ensure robust data foundations are in place to enable accurate reporting and business decision-making after go-live

About you
- Proven experience working with master data, data migration, data quality, or data governance within an ERP environment
- Previous involvement in ERP implementations, upgrades, or large-scale transformation programme
- Strong understanding of data cleansing, mapping, validation, migration, and testing processes
- Experience managing business-critical datasets such as customer, product, supplier, pricing, finance, or operational data
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, gather requirements, and drive process improvements
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on delivery role while providing guidance and expertise to others
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience leading projects, managing workstreams, or mentoring team members would be advantageous
