We are partnering with a specialist healthcare technology provider to recruit an experienced Data Migration Lead. In this role, you will take ownership of migrating complex healthcare data from legacy systems into modern Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms, such as Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium), Epic, and Meditech.
Your work will directly support major, high-impact digital transformation programmes across NHS trusts in the UK and HSE regions in Ireland. You will lead the end-to-end data migration journey, and act as the crucial bridge between technical data teams, clinical workflows, and project stakeholders, while also providing mentoring and direction to an internal delivery team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Strategy & End-to-End Delivery: Design, own, and execute the comprehensive Data Migration Strategy and Project Plan from inception through to go-live.
- Team Leadership: Manage specific data migration sub-workstreams and take direct line responsibility for mentoring and guiding graduate and senior data migration specialists.
- Data Quality & Tooling: Oversee transformation software and ETL tools, leading rigorous data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance processes. You will ensure all migrated data aligns seamlessly with clinical requirements and local statutory reporting standards (NHS/HSE).
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clinical teams, internal IT, infrastructure engineers, and third-party suppliers. You will lead remote client sessions via MS Teams, present progress updates to programme boards, and ensure clear communication across all departments.
- Risk & Problem Solving: Proactively identify, triage, and mitigate technical risks and project bottlenecks to keep transformations on schedule and within scope.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
