Data Migration Specialist (Security Cleared-Outside IR35)
Hertfordshire | Hybrid (1 day on site per week) | Contract
We're looking for an experienced Data Migration Specialist to join a high-profile digital transformation programme delivering modern cloud-based solutions for the UK public sector.
Candidates must have active SC to be considered for this role.
Working within a collaborative technical team, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering complex data migration projects, ensuring data is securely extracted, transformed and migrated into a modern cloud platform while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver end-to-end data migration activities
- Design and develop ETL processes and migration solutions
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation
- Ensure data quality, integrity and security throughout the migration lifecycle
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to support testing and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues

Skills & experience
We're looking for experience with:
- Data migration and ETL processes
- Python and SQL
- AWS cloud technologies
- Data mapping, validation and reconciliation
- Relational databases and large-scale datasets
- Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
Experience working within healthcare or other highly regulated environments would be beneficial but isn't essential.
