Role: Data Modeler

Location: Edinburgh, UK
Mode: 2-3 days hybrid in a week
Rate: GBP 350/day (Inside IR35)

Your Profile

  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data products
  • Align data models with enterprise/federated data architecture standards
  • Define data entities, relationships, and business rules
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to translate business requirements into structured data models
  • Guide Data Engineers on data structures and data granularity requirements
  • Ensure consistency, reusability, and scalability of models across domains
  • Support governance, lineage, and metadata management practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong experience in data modelling (3NF, dimensional, Data Vault – good to have)
  • Expertise in modelling for data lakes and modern cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of AWS ecosystem, Snowflake, or similar storage platforms
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and streaming data
  • Strong understanding of data governance and metadata frameworks
  • Experience in Banking / Retail data domains (preferred)
