Role: Data Modeler
Location: Edinburgh, UK
Mode: 2-3 days hybrid in a week
Rate: GBP 350/day (Inside IR35)
Your Profile
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data products
- Align data models with enterprise/federated data architecture standards
- Define data entities, relationships, and business rules
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to translate business requirements into structured data models
- Guide Data Engineers on data structures and data granularity requirements
- Ensure consistency, reusability, and scalability of models across domains
- Support governance, lineage, and metadata management practices

Key Responsibilities
- Strong experience in data modelling (3NF, dimensional, Data Vault – good to have)
- Expertise in modelling for data lakes and modern cloud platforms
- Knowledge of AWS ecosystem, Snowflake, or similar storage platforms
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and streaming data
- Strong understanding of data governance and metadata frameworks
- Experience in Banking / Retail data domains (preferred)
