About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Networks Security Analyst to join our IT team here at Harrods. This role will see you play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity, performance, and security of Harrods’ IT infrastructure on behalf of the business and its stakeholders. This role will include on-call support which will be done on a rota basis.
The Data Networks Security Analyst will work in close collaboration with the IT Technical Design Authority. You will provide expert technical support across the organisation’s data network estate, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, and Software-Defined Access (SDA) environments. You will also contribute to the ongoing architecture, design, and enhancement and security of the network infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network segmentation, to ensure robust protection across the enterprise.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and security assessments across network devices and infrastructure, proactively identifying risks and planning/deploying upgrades to maintain agreed security and performance standards.
- Review, optimise, and fine-tune network security rulesets to minimise false positives, enhance threat detection accuracy, and improve overall security posture.
- Design and deliver fit-for-purpose network solutions, translating business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable technical architectures.

About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in working within security Layer of Cisco Firepower (FMC, IPS, Checkpoint Firewalling, Web filtering & DNS protection, Cisco Ise). Strong understanding of wireless networking and Cisco software-defined access is important for this role. It is important for this role that you have strong communication skills with the ability to articulate themselves well and cautiously improve as well as good understanding of VPN technologies – DMVPN, VPN.
