Location: Fully Remote with occasional travel for meetings

Job Summary And Key Responsibilities

The Data Operations Analyst provides day-to-day operational data and reporting support across LRG. The role focuses on supporting existing reporting outputs, investigating data issues, and assisting with data testing during migrations and system changes.

This role is execution-focused and works within defined processes, standards, and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Reporting Support

  • Support and maintain existing reporting outputs and data extracts
  • Respond to data and reporting requests through the agreed intake process
  • Perform reconciliations between reporting outputs and source systems
  • Produce repeatable extracts for operational, audit, and regulatory use

Data Issue Investigation

  • Investigate reported data issues using structured analysis
  • Use SQL to examine source and reporting data to identify discrepancies
  • Capture clear evidence, impacted records, and patterns
  • Escalate findings with context and recommendations

Migration & Change Support

  • Support data testing activities during migrations, acquisitions, and system changes
  • Execute defined data validation and reconciliation checks
  • Compare pre- and post-migration outputs and highlight variances
  • Document test results and support formal sign-off processes

Data Validation & Quality Checks

  • Run agreed data quality checks and exception reports
  • Identify recurring data issues and raise them for root cause analysis
  • Apply approved operational fixes where appropriate
  • Support fix-at-source processes led by Data Quality or Engineering

Process & Control

  • Ensure all work is logged, prioritised, and tracked
  • Follow defined standards and procedures
  • Maintain clear documentation of actions and outcomes
  • Flag risks, blockers, or overload early

What are we looking for:

  • Experience supporting data or reporting functions in an operational environment
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Comfortable following structured processes and checklists
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages
