Role: Data Platform Operations Consultant
Location: 2x Per Week Onsite Slough / Remote
Daily Rate: Up to £600 Per Day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Months (View to Extension)
Lumora Solutions is partnering with a global consultancy at the forefront of Data & AI. We are currently seeking a Data Platform Operations Consultant to join a high-performing team on a 6-month contract, working hybrid and inside IR35.
What you will be doing:
- Manage and optimise our Azure Databricks platform, ensuring it is secure, reliable, high-performing, and cost-effective.
- Design and implement data governance, security, and access controls using Unity Catalog, Entra ID, Key Vault, and Azure services.
- Build and support integrations with Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, and CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable data solutions.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvements in performance, resilience, and best practices.
- Partner with engineers, security, and infrastructure teams, providing technical expertise and guidance across the data platform.

What you will bring:

- Proven experience managing and supporting Azure Databricks and the wider Azure data platform.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Azure security services.
- Expertise in cloud security, networking, and identity management, including Entra ID, RBAC, SCIM, and Key Vault.
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or PowerShell, plus CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
