Want to play a key role in the most significant transformation programme in our company's history?
As part of Helix, our global transformation programme bringing together process, tech, data and people, we're building the trusted data foundation that will support how we work for years to come. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your data expertise on a global scale, helping shape how data is managed, trusted and used across the business. Working with colleagues across functions and regions, you'll help build the data capabilities that will power our future success and deliver lasting business impact.
The Opportunity
The Data Preparation Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of enterprise data migration initiatives. Positioned within the Data Workstream, the role supports the Data Migration Lead by analysing legacy data, defining migration rules, supporting the business in preparing data for migration (non-ERP), validating migrated data, and coordinating issue resolution with business and technical teams.
The Data Preparation Analyst ensures that data migrated into target platforms is accurate, complete, fit for purpose, and supported by clear business evidence and sign-off, enabling operational readiness and trusted decision-making from day one.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Data Profiling & Cleanse for Migration Readiness
- Analyse legacy data to understand structure, usage, dependencies, and quality issues across agreed data domains.
- Support data profiling activities to assess readiness and identify risks early.
- Work with Business Data Owners and SMEs to agree on data cleansing approaches, exclusions, tolerances, and assumptions (including manual data preparation, especially for source data that does not reside in an ERP).
Migration Rule Definition & Mapping Support
- Contribute to the definition and validation of source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, defaults, and reference data usage.
- Ensure migration logic aligns with target system design, enterprise data models, and downstream reporting requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation of rules, assumptions, and decisions to support traceability and governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
