We're seeking a Data Product Manager in London in our retail practice to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact. 6–9-month contract assignment, temporary employee (PAYE) opportunity working via an Umbrella company. Hybrid role 2-3 days a week onsite in London
Summary
As a Data Product Manager, you will drive the strategic vision and execution of Finance-facing data products that transform how our organisation leverages information to make critical business decisions. This role is fundamental to building scalable, user-centred data solutions that empower stakeholders across the finance function. You will own the complete product lifecycle, from discovery and analysis through to delivery, ensuring that each data product delivers measurable value and supports our consulting firm's commitment to innovation and excellence.
You Will
- Drive product discovery and analysis activities to uncover user needs and define strategic opportunities
- Develop and prioritise the product backlog in close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
- Create comprehensive user stories and use cases that guide development teams and ensure clarity of requirements
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities and maintain proactive communication across all levels of the organisation
- Establish product roadmaps that balance immediate business needs with long-term strategic objectives
- Facilitate prioritisation discussions between competing demands, using data-driven approaches to inform decisions
- Adapt effectively to ambiguity and evolving business requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Champion agile practices and foster continuous improvement within product delivery team.
- Demonstrate resilience and problem-solving capability when navigating complex stakeholder landscapes

Ideally, We'd Like
- Proven experience working within retail or financial services environments
- Demonstrated expertise in agile product management methodologies and practices
- Strong background in data product development or analytics-focused product roles
- Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear business language
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
- Self-starting mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills across multiple audience levels
- Proven ability to ask insightful questions and challenge assumptions constructively
- Strong analytical thinking and commercial acumen
- Experience working in matrix organisations with geographically dispersed teams
