Technical Product Owner (Connected Mobility, Data Pipelines)

Location: Farringdon, London – Hybrid

About the Role

Are you a dynamic, experienced Technical Product Owner with a deep interest in connected mobility, particularly in working with data pipelines and data-driven product requirements?

This permanent role involves leading a technical project with a strong emphasis on bridging the gap between business needs and data engineering. You’ll perform a structured gap analysis, translating findings into clear, testable requirements that engineering teams can estimate, plan, and deliver while ensuring a well-defined target state and unambiguous path to success.

Responsibilities

Scope & Target-State Definition

  • Align stakeholders on objectives, outcomes, constraints, and success measures.
  • Define:
    • In-scope systems, integrations, data sources, environments, and interfaces.
    • Assumptions, dependencies, risks, and decision owners.

Current-State Assessment

  • Review existing artefacts (architecture, APIs, data models, tickets, release notes, incidents).
  • Map:
    • Current workflows and system behaviours (including edge cases and failure modes).
    • Integrations (API/event/file) and key data flows, including ownership and operational touchpoints.

Gap Analysis

Identify gaps between current and target states across:

  • Functional behaviour
  • Data (coverage, quality, retention, lineage)
  • Integrations and contracts (versioning, error handling)
  • Operational readiness (monitoring, alerting, runbooks, support)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
