New Opportunity: Data Product Owner

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Product Owner to join our Data Platforms team. Partnering with business, delivery, and engineering teams, this role will develop value through data products using Kingfisher’s Group Data Platform, applying Agile and product ownership practices to help shape solutions that support our ambition to become a more effective data-driven organisation.

This role is based out of our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office.

What's the Job?

  • Own and Prioritise one or more product backlogs, ensuring delivery aligns with business needs and evolving priorities.
  • Act as a Trusted Point of Contact for backlog decisions, providing clarity on scope, priorities, and value.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to deliver high-quality, value-focused outcomes.
  • Define and Communicate clear product roadmaps to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Lead Alignment Through Product Councils and Governance Forums, ensuring consistency with business priorities.
  • Guide Teams Through Agile Ways of Working, supporting data ceremonies and resolving ambiguity where needed.
  • Manage the Lifecycle of Data Products, including stakeholder communication, incident management, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong practical experience of Agile and product management frameworks in a Product Owner (or similar) role.
  • Proven ability to lead business change within complex, global organisations.
  • Skilled at building relationships and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in process design and implementation with a structured, organised approach.
  • Good working knowledge of data platforms and the use of data within organisations.
