Job Description
The Role:
We’re looking for a commercially minded Data Protection Advisor to support the delivery of Frasers Group’s data protection framework across a fast paced, multi brand business.
Working closely with the Data Protection Manager, you’ll provide clear, pragmatic advice, balancing regulatory requirements with commercial outcomes. This is a hands on role with real exposure across projects, suppliers and operational teams.
Candidates with experience in financial services, banking, insurance or other regulated environments will bring valuable perspective to how we manage data risk at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the ongoing delivery and evolution of the Group’s data protection compliance framework
- Act as a trusted contact for internal stakeholders, translating data protection requirements into clear, practical guidance
- Manage and respond to data subject rights requests including DSARs, erasure, objection and restriction
- Support the investigation, management and reporting of personal data breaches, working cross functionally
- Maintain core governance documentation including RoPAs, DPIAs and LIAs
- Review and advise on data protection clauses across contracts, supplier agreements and DPAs
- Support privacy by design across new projects, systems and business initiatives
- Deliver and support training and awareness across the Group
- Track regulatory developments and contribute to policy updates and continuous improvement
- Provide day to day operational support to the Data Protection team

Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in data protection, privacy, compliance or risk or governance, ideally within a regulated or financial environment
- Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR
- Confident interpreting regulation and applying it in a commercial, business focused way
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with high professional standards
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships across all levels
- Proactive, solutions focused and keen to develop
Nice to Have
- Background in financial services, fintech, banking, insurance or other regulated sectors
- Relevant qualifications such as CIPP or CIPM or BCS
- Experience in retail, e commerce or large scale consumer businesses
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 or wider data governance frameworks
- Interest or exposure to emerging tech such as AI, biometrics or advanced analytics

What’s next?
