Role Title: Data Protection Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Salary: £35,215 - £44,018 per annum (salary offered dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid between our Mariner House, Dartford office and home

We are looking for a Data Protection Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting a strong culture of data protection, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
This is an important role where you will support the Data Protection Lead in ensuring Moat meets its legal and regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for coordinating and administering a wide range of data protection activities, helping to safeguard personal data and uphold the rights of our customers and colleagues.
As a Data Protection Coordinator, you will:
- Act as a first point of contact for data protection queries
- Manage Subject Access Requests
- Support the handling of personal data breaches
- Work collaboratively across teams, ensuring robust processes are followed and that compliance is clearly evidenced
- Contribute to improving how we manage data protection by maintaining key registers, supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments, and helping to embed best practice across the organisation
This is a varied and impactful role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You will be confident working with sensitive information, managing competing priorities, and communicating clearly and empathetically with a wide range of stakeholders, including handling complex or challenging customer cases in a professional and solution-focused way.
Essential
- Knowledge of data protection legislation and data subject rights
- Experience supporting or administering DSAR processes
- Experience within the housing sector or a customer-focused environment
- Strong experience engaging with customers and representatives
- Experience working in a small team to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to communicate complex or technical information clearly
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Word)
- Experience using customer databases, data protection systems, and SharePoint
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
