Data Protection Manager (Designate DPO)
Location: Manchester, UK (hybrid)
Salary: £50,000
Contract: Full time, permanent
Start Date: Immediate
The Role
Suits Me is a fast-growing fintech providing e-money accounts and payment services to thousands of customers across the UK. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a talented Data Protection Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our privacy and data protection function.
Working alongside our current external DPO provider, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of data protection before ultimately taking ownership of the function and becoming Suits Me’s appointed Data Protection Officer.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise on UK GDPR and data protection compliance.
- Conduct DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.
- Support data subject rights requests and breach management.
- Maintain privacy governance frameworks and records.
- Deliver privacy training and awareness activities.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to embed privacy by design.
About You
- Around 3–5 years’ experience in data protection, privacy or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
- Financial services, fintech or regulated sector experience would be advantageous.
