The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company is working with a non-departmental public body to help them source a Data Protection Officer.

This role is responsible for ensuring business processes and data exchanges adhere to internal policies and applicable external legal and regulatory standards.
In this role, you will meet BAU requirements. You will:
- Conduct data protection risk assessments, and identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions and work on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Provide data protection training and awareness for colleagues to ensure a culture of data protection within the organisation.
- Manage and respond to data breaches and data protection incidents promptly and efficiently.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and potential suppliers and their data processing activities for compliance.
- Respond to Data Subject Access Requests in a timely manner (DSARs).
- Provide input to ensure that the body is compliant with the Data (Use and Access Act) 2025.
- Contribute to and provide support and challenge on our AI programme of work.
