We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Quality Analyst.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the UK Business Data & Analytics Data Quality Team as a Data Quality Analyst, GCB6. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring data is of the highest quality, coordinating activities to solve issues, and working closely with data stewards, data analysts, IT and other stakeholders to understand requirements and help with blockers.

In this role you will:

  • Manage data quality issue remediation working with various stakeholders and escalating where appropriate
  • Perform root cause analysis of systemic data quality issues
  • Conduct testing of data quality issue fixes to ensure that the root cause is remediated
  • Monitor data pipelines to highlight and resolve integration errors
  • Create data quality and validation rules across all key UK Business data that address data risk through the data quality dimensions: accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness and validity
  • Analyse datasets to identify errors, duplicates and inconsistencies
  • Collaborate within the data management team, contributing to a high-performing data quality function

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in working with business stakeholders and remediation teams, including data and IT architects and engineers, to address and resolve data issues
  • Experience on data quality with knowledge of evolving data quality best practices
  • Understanding of data flows across banking operations, from front office to operations
  • Experience of measuring, assessing and improving data quality in a large Global organisation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven track record of taking ownership / responsibility for work and be comfortable working independently
  • Proficiency with enterprise data quality and governance tools. Well versed with Excel. Familiarity with SQL or BI tools, Confluence and Jira are an added advantage
  • Experience of working on a regional scale (i.e. across time zone & geography and with remote teams)
