Role Description
The Data Quality Engineer is a contract, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi. This role is responsible for designing and implementing data quality processes, including validation rules, cleansing routines, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure accuracy and consistency of data across systems. The Data Quality Engineer will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data quality standards, identify root causes of data issues, and recommend improvements to data pipelines and workflows. Daily tasks include analyzing datasets, documenting data quality metrics, creating reports and dashboards, and supporting audits and compliance requirements. The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to align data quality efforts with broader quality management and business objectives.

Qualifications

- Strong Quality Engineering skills, with experience designing and implementing robust data quality frameworks and processes.
- Proficiency in Quality Control activities, including data validation, monitoring, and testing to identify and resolve data defects.
- Solid background in Quality Assurance, ensuring data-related procedures, standards, and documentation are consistently followed.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Product Quality for data-driven solutions, focusing on reliability, accuracy, and usability of data outputs.
- Experience in Quality Management, including defining data quality KPIs, continuous improvement initiatives, and alignment with organizational quality policies.
- Hands-on experience with data tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, data profiling tools, ETL platforms, data warehouses or lakes).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced energy sector environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
