Data Quality Lead
£105k base + 17.5% bonus | Hybrid (Manchester) – 1 day per week Global Asset Manager (~€15bn AUM, 28 international entities)
About the Role
I’m working with a large-scale investment management platform to hire a Data Quality Lead into a newly created greenfield Group Data function.
This is a rare opportunity to build a data quality capability from scratch across a complex, international environment, shaping how data is defined, controlled, and trusted across the business.

A global asset manager with ~€15bn AUM, operating across 25+ international subsidiaries. Their environment is large-scale, data-heavy, spanning real estate, credit, and lending.

Key points:
- Significant investment into a brand-new data platform and a centralised data function.
- Transitioning towards a modern Azure-based architecture with strong executive backing.
Responsibilities
- Define what “good” looks like for key business-critical datasets.
- Build data quality frameworks, rules, and thresholds from the ground up.
- Implement automated monitoring, controls, and alerting across data pipelines.
- Lead root cause analysis of data issues and drive fixes at source.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience leading data quality or governance in large, complex environments.
- Experience building frameworks in greenfield or transformation settings.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with data quality/observability tooling and third-party solutions.
- Background in financial services, asset management, lending, or credit environments.
- Hands-on mindset—this is a build role, not just oversight.
