Data Quality Management Specialist

Umbrella Rate: GBP 28.54/hr (Inside IR35)

As a Data Quality Management Specialist, you'll be part of a team revolutionising the future of automotive engineering. About the Role

This role is based in Whitley, offering a vibrant and accessible location for professionals seeking to make an impact in automotive engineering.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and validate test data across:
    • Electric machine
    • Electric drive unit (EDU)
    • Inverter
    • Cell
    • Battery
    • Power-in-Loop (PiL)
    • Vehicle-in-Loop (ViL) test beds
  • Ensure timely, accurate, secure, and accessible test data to support efficient engineering decisions
  • Deploy a common approach to data piping and validation tools while building a federated data platform
  • Oversee data acquisition, quality validation, and storage to maintain world-class testing standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to influence engineering stakeholders and recommend data-driven decisions

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills, ideally with:
    • Python (preferred)
    • Familiarity with C, JavaScript, or other relevant languages
  • Proven experience in:
    • Designing and operating data pipelines
    • ETL workflows and validation systems
  • Expertise in cloud platforms, including:
    • AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Proficiency in:
    • Data analysis
    • Statistical evaluation and measurement variation
  • Familiarity with:
    • Version control (Git)
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Containerisation (Docker)
    • Modern development practices
