Salary: £40,000-£50,000 dependent on experience

Overview Of The Role

The post holder will assist in the development of data infrastructure and platforms, maintaining these once built, on behalf of the commercial property management business. The post holder will also be the data steward for all data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with corporate standards. The focus is on property management related data, including lease, tenancy, rent, service charge, asset registers and asset condition records and other related maintenance and facilities management records. The role manages and prioritises system related tasks for the shared pool of Data administrators and works closely with the wider business to ensure aligned governance.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Own and safeguard the quality of all data through the implementation of data governance principles across the property management platforms to ensure data reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Define and maintain specific data standards, validation rules and workflows within systems to maintain consistency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for property data through regular audits and training.
  • Review and approve system related work completed by Data administrators to ensure high standards of work.
  • Support in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, data models, and data platforms in line with best practice and with a view to meeting evolving business needs.
  • Support in system upgrades, migrations and cleansing projects to ensure the system remains effective and data accurate.
  • Investigate and resolve data anomalies and capture suggestions for improvement related to processes and data definitions.
  • Monitor and report on system Key Performance Indicators.
  • Contribute to organisation wide data management initiatives, taking a lead role in areas relating to Asset Management.

Your Knowledge:

  • Educated to degree standard, ideally in a relevant subject such as Computer Science.
  • In-depth knowledge of the property management platforms and associated platforms (desirable)
  • Proficient in Excel, reporting tools and data validation techniques.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, pipelines, warehousing and governance principles.

Your Experience:

  • Proficient in data engineering tools, cloud platforms, programming languages, database management, and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Ability to set a technical vision, balance business objectives with technical capabilities, and make high-level decisions about data architecture.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in data quality, governance, or system administration.
  • Strong background in property management, ideally with operational experience in property administration.
  • Willingness to identify and participate in training relevant to role.
