Role Description
The Data Quality & Technical Manager is a full-time role based in London, operating on a hybrid working model that combines office presence with some work from home. The role is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, integrity, and governance of property and asset data across Places for London’s portfolio. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Defining and implementing data standards
- Managing data quality controls
- Coordinating technical solutions to ensure reliable reporting and analytics for operational and strategic decision-making
The manager will work closely with IT, property, finance, and commercial teams to:
- Map data flows
- Optimize systems integration
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting data and reporting
The role also involves:
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Documenting processes
- Supporting audits and compliance requirements
- Guiding colleagues on best practices in data management and system use
Qualifications
- Skills in data governance and data quality management, including setting data standards, implementing validation rules, and monitoring data integrity.
- Skills in database and systems management, such as working with property or asset management systems, understanding data architectures, and coordinating system integrations.
- Skills in data analysis and reporting, including proficiency with analytics tools, dashboards, and translating complex datasets into clear insights for stakeholders.
- Skills in technical problem-solving and process improvement, including root-cause analysis, documentation of workflows, and optimizing data-related processes.
- Skills in stakeholder collaboration and communication, including partnering with cross-functional teams, managing expectations, and presenting technical information in accessible language.

Relevant experience in property, real estate, transport, infrastructure, or related sectors is beneficial, along with familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks affecting data.
Preferred qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in data management, information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
