Data & Reporting Analyst

Exciting Opportunity: Data and Reporting Analyst
About the Role
Join our expanding Programme Performance team based in Manchester, supporting high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. This role offers opportunities to innovate, collaborate with our Data Performance & Reporting community, and work closely with our award-winning team.
Flexible Location: This role can be based in our offices in Manchester, Leeds, or York.
Key Responsibilities
The Data and Reporting Analyst will work with project delivery teams—embedded or independently—and is responsible for:
- Driving implementation and continuous improvement in data and performance reporting processes, including project controls, to enhance client efficiencies.
- Developing customised data performance and reporting management plans based on client requirements, data maturity, and best practices.
- Promoting Data Performance and Reporting within delivery teams, highlighting their benefits.
- Implementing integrated data and reporting hierarchies and methodologies.
- Supporting the definition of KPIs and performance measures, including their dictionaries.
- Leading teams of data professionals to deliver effective, consistent, assured, and value-added performance reporting to clients.
- Presenting data performance recommendations to stakeholders and senior management to inform decision-making.
- Training and coaching both clients and junior team members on best practices in data reporting.
- Managing career development, competencies, and mentorship responsibilities—including line management.
- Continuously reviewing reporting practices to align with client scope and value-add.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you should bring the following experience and qualifications:
- A qualification in Project Controls (e.g., Project Planning & Controls, APM PMQ).
- Proven experience in data and digital reporting across complex projects.
- A track record of supporting project controls through the design and setup of data management systems.
- Practical expertise in:
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Progress reporting
- Forecasting and performance analysis
- Knowledge of how Programme Performance aspects (e.g., Planning, Cost Control, Scope, Change Control, and Risk) interact with reporting.
- Experience with Project Controls software, such as:
- Primavera P6
- Active Risk Manager
- nPlan
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including:
- Excel
- Power BI
- Power Apps
