We’re looking for an exceptional Data, Risk and Assurance Manager to help shape a confident, forward-thinking approach to risk, data protection and assurance. You’ll play a vital role in smart decision making, protecting what matters most and building a secure future for our customers.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!

What we’re all about

You can probably already tell that we’re not your typical housing provider! With around 20,000 homes (and more in the pipeline), we’re on track with our growth plan to build 8,000 new homes across Yorkshire.

We’re dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences along the way and are on a mission to build a culture that prioritises excellence, innovation, and customer obsession.

Want to know more about your next challenge?

What you’ll be doing

This is a brilliant opportunity to join us at an important point in our journey, with real ambition to take our Data, Risk and Assurance function to the next level. We’re looking for someone who can be a trusted voice across the organisation - bringing clarity to how we manage risk, supporting confident decision-making and helping colleagues do the right thing, not the easy thing.

You’ll play a key role in building risk and data protection capability across Yorkshire Housing, using your expertise to influence stakeholders, strengthen relationships and provide practical, risk-based guidance that helps the business move forward. Alongside this, you’ll lead and develop a fantastic team, coaching and motivating them to grow their impact and work collaboratively across the organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead our data protection, risk and assurance work - making sure we stay compliant while keeping things practical and fit for purpose. From owning our risk and controls framework, data protection and business continuity processes, to overseeing internal audit, , you’ll help keep Yorkshire Housing safe, resilient and forward-thinking. You’ll also be a key partner to senior leaders and the Board, providing clear insight and assurance so we can keep learning, improving and focusing on what matters most to our customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
