About the Role
We are hiring for a contract-based Data Science Engineer for one of our clients. In this role, you’ll design, build, and deploy machine learning models and data pipelines to enable scalable AI solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn business needs into technical realities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade data science models using Python and industry-leading frameworks
- Design and implement data pipelines to process large-scale datasets for training and inference
- Work closely with software engineers to integrate models into production systems and APIs
- Optimise models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure model accuracy, reliability, and compliance

Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience in data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar)
- Deep knowledge of statistical modelling, regression, classification, and clustering
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
- Experience with SQL and database systems for data extraction and transformation
- Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code
- Understanding of MLOps practices, including model deployment and monitoring
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
