Overview
We are hiring a Data Science engineer for one of our clients, on a contract basis. The role involves designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and data pipelines to support scalable AI solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade data science models using Python and relevant frameworks
- Design and implement data pipelines to process large-scale datasets for training and inference
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into production systems and APIs
- Optimise models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation for model accuracy, reliability, and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python with experience in:
- Data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
- Machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong background in:
- Statistical modeling (regression, classification, clustering)
- Big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
- Experience with:
- SQL and database systems for data extraction and transformation
- Version control (Git)
- MLOps practices (model deployment and monitoring)
- Ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
