Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Overview

We are hiring a Data Science engineer for one of our clients, on a contract basis. The role involves designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and data pipelines to support scalable AI solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production-grade data science models using Python and relevant frameworks
  • Design and implement data pipelines to process large-scale datasets for training and inference
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into production systems and APIs
  • Optimise models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation for model accuracy, reliability, and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python with experience in:
    • Data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
    • Machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Strong background in:
    • Statistical modeling (regression, classification, clustering)
    • Big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Experience with:
    • SQL and database systems for data extraction and transformation
    • Version control (Git)
    • MLOps practices (model deployment and monitoring)
  • Ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
