Data Science Expert – AI Content Specialist
About The Role
What if your expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI thinks? We're looking for Data Science Experts to challenge, evaluate, and improve cutting-edge AI systems — turning your deep domain knowledge into a tangible impact on AI development.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for experienced data scientists who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Complex Challenges: Craft advanced data science problems spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation strategies, dimensionality reduction, and more — pushing AI models to their limits
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions: Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions including Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and mathematical derivations that serve as benchmark "golden responses"
- Audit AI-Generated Code: Evaluate AI outputs using libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow — assessing technical accuracy, efficiency, and correctness
- Refine AI Reasoning: Identify logical flaws in AI-generated reasoning — such as data leakage, overfitting, or improper handling of imbalanced datasets — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
- Document Failure Modes: Systematically capture how and where AI models break down, producing insights that directly harden model reasoning

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
