Job Title: Data Science Intern (Remote – UK Time Zone)

About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join a dynamic, solutions-driven data science team. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about applying data science to real-world business problems and can work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment aligned with UK time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and implementing data-driven solutions to solve business problems
  • Work with structured and unstructured datasets to perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis
  • Build and evaluate machine learning models under guidance from senior data scientists
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and present actionable insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders
  • Contribute to data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Document workflows, methodologies, and findings clearly

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Strong foundation in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts (regression, classification, clustering)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar)
  • Familiarity with SQL and working with databases
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work remotely in UK time zones

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Knowledge of real-world data science applications (e.g., recommendation systems, NLP, forecasting)
  • Prior internship or project experience in data science or analytics
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
