About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager to join our dynamic team at Data Idols. This pivotal leadership role involves overseeing a talented group of Data Scientists focused on delivering impactful customer insights and commercial outcomes for our clients. Based in London with a hybrid working model, the successful candidate will sit at the intersection of data science, customer insight, personalization, and strategic business initiatives. You will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of the team, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative machine learning solutions that enhance customer engagement and business performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading or managing Data Science teams within a commercial or client-facing environment.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, customer analytics, or personalization techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy customer-focused models that generate measurable impact.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in delivering data science products and models into production environments, ensuring scalability and robustness.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous learning and innovation.
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for customer analytics, personalization, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Translate complex customer data and behavioral insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Establish best practices across experimentation, customer modeling, MLOps, and data science delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and engineering to integrate data science solutions into business operations.
  • Ensure the deployment of scalable, reliable, and high-impact machine learning models into production environments.
  • Monitor and evaluate model performance, making iterative improvements to optimize outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the organization’s data science capabilities.
