Data Scientist | Hybrid – Herne Hill, South London | Full-Time | Permanent

Company Overview

We are a fast-growing Data Science company, a spin-out from the University of Cambridge Astrophysics group. By leveraging cutting-edge data science and mathematics, we solve real-world problems with a focus on advancing sustainability in industrial processes and drug discovery.

The Role

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Visa Sponsorship: Licensed UK sponsor – international and Graduate-visa candidates welcome.

Do you enjoy solving complex, real-world data science challenges? This is a rare opportunity to apply Bayesian statistics, machine learning and scientific computing to high-impact challenges across sustainable industry, molecular discovery, optimisation and predictive modelling.

Unlike generic machine learning roles, this company is built on proprietary Bayesian tools and deep scientific expertise. Using advanced sampling methods, they tackle problems that traditional methods cannot resolve. If you thrive on rigorous technical work, research-driven problem-solving and translating deep science into real-world impact, this role is for you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
