About The Company

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the United Kingdom's leading regulator of advertising across all media platforms, including online channels. Our primary mission is to ensure that advertising in the UK is legal, decent, honest, and truthful. We work proactively to identify and address misleading, harmful, offensive, or irresponsible advertisements, safeguarding consumers and maintaining trust in the advertising industry. Our organization collaborates with industry stakeholders, consumers, and government bodies to uphold high standards and adapt to the evolving landscape of digital advertising.

About The Role

In this role, you will be an integral part of our Data Science team, focusing on our cutting-edge Active Ad Monitoring system. This system leverages artificial intelligence to proactively monitor online advertising content. In 2025, it processed over 60 million ads across social media, search engines, and programmatic display platforms. Your work will support the ASA in regulating high-priority advertising topics such as weight-loss medications, green claims, influencer disclosures, and more. You will analyze vast amounts of ad data captured by the system, transforming unstructured information into actionable intelligence to inform regulatory decisions.

You will primarily work with Python, utilizing AI models to interpret text, images, and videos. Your insights will help identify misleading or harmful ads, and you will contribute to understanding how AI can streamline regulatory processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to see the direct impact of your work in protecting UK consumers from deceptive advertising practices. You will operate within a small, agile team, owning projects end-to-end and collaborating closely with colleagues across the organization.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
