About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Data Scientist to join our Data Search & Analytics team. You will bridge the Research and Trading desks with our Engineering team, ensuring data is leveraged effectively to drive the firm’s success.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Quantitative Researchers and Traders to design high-quality datasets that inform systematic strategies and discretionary trading decisions
  • Prototyping and designing custom pipelines to extract, clean, and aggregate data from raw sources in various formats
  • Partnering with Engineering to automate and optimize processes, ensuring robust, scalable data extraction workflows
  • Managing the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle of new datasets
  • Proactively identifying and resolving data challenges to reduce time to production
  • Innovating novel methods for data collection, processing, and enrichment to enhance our analytical capabilities

Your Qualification Matrix

| - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Research Scientist, or equivalent position (experience in a buy-side quantitative finance role is highly advantageous)

  • Postgraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering | - | - Proficient Python development (≥ intermediate-level), including expertise with Pandas, NumPy, and data-rich libraries (e.g., Dask, PySpark for distributed processing)
  • Applied finance knowledge—demonstrated interest in markets, traditional/alternative datasets, and quantitative analysis techniques | - | - Demonstrated ability to work with unstructured/unconventional data sources (regulatory filings, satellite imagery, social media, etc.)
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate across multi-disciplinary teams (technical, numerical, and operational methodologies)
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, results-oriented environment where SLA adherence and efficient teamwork are paramount | - |
