Data Scientist – Audit & Assurance, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Python, Stakeholder engagement, Project Delivery – Financial Services – Permanent - offering up to £62,000 Base + Bonus
My client, a leading Financial Service Organisation is seeking a Data Science and Machine Learning professional to join their Audit and Assurance team on a permanent Basis.
You will be responsible to support clients focused on Model and Data Risk, as well as building and deploying AI products to support the transformation. You will deliver advanced data analytics and data science solutions using tools such as Python, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI, while developing innovative AI and machine learning capabilities to support evolving audit and assurance needs. The role will involve reviewing internal and third-party AI, data science, and cloud-based solutions, as well as supporting clients with large-scale data handling, modelling, and analytics.

You will also be responsible for communicating complex insights in a clear and impactful way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring recommendations drive meaningful business outcomes.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience with Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of machine learning, statistics, and probability.
- Experience deploying supervised and unsupervised ML models.
- End-to-end data science project delivery experience.
- Ability to apply data science through a commercial/business lens.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven team player with a collaborative mindset.
