A major UK retail business is investing heavily in its Data & AI capabilities and is building a scalable Data Science function to support the next phase of growth. With a new customer loyalty programme launching this year, there is significant demand for predictive modelling, personalisation, forecasting, and customer analytics.

As a Mid-Level Data Scientist, you'll work closely with the Data Science Lead and wider business stakeholders to develop and deploy machine learning solutions that directly impact customer engagement and commercial performance. You'll play a key role in helping scale Data Science across the organisation as the team continues to mature.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models across customer and commercial use cases
- Develop customer segmentation, CLV, and forecasting solutions
- Support loyalty programme personalisation and campaign optimisation initiatives
- Work across the full Data Science lifecycle from problem definition to deployment
- Partner with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver impact
- Help establish scalable Data Science foundations and best practices
- Communicate model outputs and business value to non-technical audiences

- Salary: £45,000–£48,000
- Location: Knowsley (Liverpool)
- Working Model: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
- Tech Stack: Python, SQL, Machine Learning, GCP/Azure (desirable), Vertex AI, Azure ML
