Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyze data from databases and data warehouses to generate actionable insights for departmental stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical datasets (using SQL and tools like dbt) to ensure clean, well-structured data for analysis.
  • Apply data cleaning, modeling, and feature engineering techniques to prepare data for AI models.
  • Build and validate basic machine learning models (e.g., using Python’s scikit-learn) for predictions or classifications.
  • Perform advanced data manipulation and feature engineering using Python (pandas) and SQL for handling large and complex datasets.
  • Apply statistical techniques (e.g., A/B testing, regression analysis, and time-series forecasting) to inform decision-making.
  • Deliver end-to-end analytics projects, from requirement gathering to reporting, ensuring clarity and accuracy at every stage.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to interpret results, answer questions, and ensure insights drive decisions.
  • Clearly communicate complex findings and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, adapting complexity as needed.
  • Apply software engineering principles to develop high-quality, scalable, reusable, and maintainable code for reproducible research and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related).
  • At least 3 years of experience in data science or advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python (libraries like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) and advanced SQL for querying and optimizing data.
  • Strong statistical understanding with hands-on A/B testing and experimental design experience.
  • Experience building and refining ML models on real-world data, using frameworks like scikit-learn or XGBoost.
  • Ability to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets, and knowledge of ETL/data pipeline tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical results for business teams, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
