The Opportunity
Consulting Point represents the Data Science and AI practice of a premier global management consultancy. In an era of unprecedented data volume and rapid innovation, this team partners with FTSE 100 and public sector organisations to extract high-value insights through advanced scientific methodologies. We are seeking Senior Consultants who can bridge the gap between complex mathematical modelling and strategic business outcomes, with a focus on the emerging frontier of Agentic and Generative AI.
The Mandate: Agentic AI & Advanced Analytics
This role is designed for data scientists who operate with a consulting mindset. You will lead the delivery of end-to-end projects across the Machine Learning (ML) lifecycle, moving beyond standard analytics to implement Agentic AI solutions that automate complex reasoning and decision-making tasks. The mandate requires a deep understanding of statistical modelling, NLP, and time-series analysis, combined with the ability to demonstrate tangible business value of AI to senior stakeholders. Candidates must possess a proven track record in a client-facing advisory environment, ensuring cutting-edge data science is applied to solve real-world operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of Agentic AI, Generative AI, and Data Science projects, ensuring client expectations are met through robust, scalable solutions.
- Advise and inspire clients on the potential of AI through high-impact demonstrations and evidence-led business cases.
- Deploy advanced skills in statistical modelling, mathematical optimisation, and spatial analysis to drive decision intelligence.
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships, enabling clients to interpret complex data patterns and derive actionable insights.
- Contribute to the commercial growth of the practice through bid support, RFP responses, and development of new AI-driven market offerings.
- Support internal practice development by contributing to whitepapers, recruitment, and mentoring junior data scientists.
Required Experience & Skills
- Consulting Pedigree: Experience within a management consulting firm or high-level internal advisory function is essential. Comfortable delivering work at pace in a matrixed environment.
- Scientific Foundation: Strong background in the ML lifecycle, including expertise in NLP, time-series analysis, and predictive modelling.
- Technical Stack: Mandatory proficiency in Python, R, or PySpark.
- Cloud & Data Platforms: Architectural knowledge of at least one platform including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Databricks.
- AI Specialisation: Familiarity with Agentic AI platforms, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI GPT-5 Agents, or similar autonomous agent technologies.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills to translate technical data science concepts for non-technical executive audiences.
