About the Role
As part of the C3 AI Data Science team, you’ll support the world’s largest companies by delivering next-generation AI-powered solutions on the C3 AI Platform. Collaborating with:
- Data scientists
- Software engineers
- Subject matter experts
You will:
- Define new AI capabilities to help customers make data-driven decisions and accelerate digital transformation
- Identify, implement, and benchmark machine learning/data mining techniques on the C3 AI Platform, ensuring scalability and operational efficiency
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Deep knowledge of classic ML techniques and their enterprise applications
- Awareness of algorithmic limitations and how to optimise or adapt them for large-scale deployment
- Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy advanced machine learning models, intelligent agents, and optimisation solutions for enterprise applications, leveraging the C3 AI Suite.
- Empower customers to develop their own AI applications on the C3 AI Suite, providing guidance and consultancy.
- Contribute to feature development across the C3 AI Suite product suite.
- Monitor model performance (e.g., asset fleet analytics) and diagnose issues (low risk scores, false positives) by recommending hyperparameter optimisations.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to validate, interpret, and integrate new data sources in line with mission-critical decision-making needs.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
- MS or PhD in:
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Statistics
- OR equivalent domain experience
- Applied AI expertise with specialisation in:
- Generative AI
- Agentic systems
- Classification/regression modelling (supervised/unsupervised learning)
- Robust mathematical foundations:
- Linear algebra
- Calculus
- Probability & statistical theory -Experience with scalable ML frameworks (e.g., MapReduce, distributed streaming).
- Project management and independent/team-based delivery.
- Motivation-driven problem-solving attitude with a focus on impact and innovation.

Preferred Experience
- Strong fluency in Python, R or JavaScript (for prototyping).
- Familiarity with Java/Scala.
- Publicly documented projects (GitHub, academic papers).
