Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist / Solution Engineer - SC Cleared

12-Month Contract - London, Waterloo | Hybrid

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, or Solution Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Waterloo, London. This role sits at the intersection of advanced machine learning and robust software engineering, focusing on deploying industrial-grade applications (such as fraud detection and predictive maintenance) across key sectors for an Enterprise AI client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning algorithms and software solutions.
  • Analyse, cleanse, and normalise complex time-series data and dynamical systems.
  • Integrate ML models into production using cloud platforms and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Collaborate within an Agile environment to deliver robust data structures and algorithms.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of the following engineering and data science capabilities:

  • Core Development: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Java, alongside modern frameworks (React, Redux, Vue, or Angular).
  • Data Science & ML: Solid understanding of common ML techniques, trade-offs, and scalable ML architecture (MapReduce, streaming).
  • Data Expertise: Experience with time-series data, dynamical systems, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience deploying software to AWS, GCP, or Azure, utilizing Git for version control.
  • Industry Experience: Domain expertise in sectors such as Financial Services, Aerospace, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Supply Chain is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of Capability: A strong portfolio of past projects (GitHub, published papers, etc.).
