Job Description

As a Data Scientist in our Quantitative Analysis team, you’ll develop probabilistic models that underpin our real-time betting markets.

Our role drives data-driven innovation across sports betting, colocation with trading teams, and technical partnerships. In a fast-paced, high-impact environment, you’ll:

  • Design, build, and scale mathematical models for accuracy, speed, and resilience
  • Lead teams in data science, trading and product innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create next-gen betting solutions

Responsibilities

Geospatial data interrogation, continuous model improvement strategies, and optimisation at scale:

  • Extract insights from large datasets to inform betting strategy and product design
  • Apply statistical techniques and ML algorithms to predict outcomes and price bets
  • Develop innovative solutions for complex scenarios with domain expertise
  • Evaluate and refine existing models to identify improvement areas
  • Debug and resolve data quality issues affecting analysis or model performance
  • Conduct rigorous statistical validation of models using historical/live datasets
  • Partner with trading teams to integrate domain knowledge into modeling
  • Optimise model performance for balance between accuracy and efficiency
  • Research new techniques from academic/industry spaces to advance betting solutions
  • Identify opportunities for actionable data insights beyond current products

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative subject
  • Passionate interest in sports and/or the online gambling landscape
  • Proven experience building predictive models from data
  • Strong foundational knowledge of:
    • Statistical analysis
    • Probability theory applied to real-world problems
  • Proficiency in Python/R
  • Adaptability to machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Capacity to optimise models for computational efficiency
  • Data handling and analysis experience with large volumes
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments
