Job Description
We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our Group Data & Analytics team, where you’ll leverage data and machine learning to shape decision-making, enhance customer experiences, and drive smarter, more efficient ways of working.
You’ll work on various machine learning projects across HR, Finance, and Asset Management, with the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Generative AI team on innovative, forward-looking initiatives.
This is a collaborative role ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex data into practical insights and working with cross-functional colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver data science solutions, including generative AI, that support business decisions and drive value
- Work with diverse data sources to explore, integrate, and analyse large-scale datasets efficiently
- Build, test, and refine machine learning models for real-world applications
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Create high-quality visualisations of analytical outputs and model results
- Collaborate with data and technology teams to productionise and automate solutions
- Ensure all work is well-documented, peer-reviewed, and meets high standards
- Provide subject matter expertise to support data-driven initiatives and customer outcomes

Requirements
- Experience working with large or complex datasets and a detail-oriented approach
- Knowledge of a range of machine learning techniques and analytical methods
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and modelling
- Ability to manipulate data, engineer features, and prepare datasets for modelling
- Experience in gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders across disciplines
- Confidence in explaining technical concepts clearly and accessibly
- Familiarity with generative AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, tool-using agents, autonomous workflows) is beneficial but not essential
- Experience with low-code or pro-code AI agent frameworks (e.g., Copilot Studio, LangChain) adds value but not required
