Enhanced DV Cleared Data Scientist / AI Engineer (Manchester)

About the Role

New Permanent Opportunity for a Data Scientist / AI Engineer with Active Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DV) Clearance in Manchester.

Junior to Lead level roles available:

  • Salary Range: £45k to £95k (depending on experience**, DoE)
  • Additional Bonus: 15% clearance bonus included
  • Work Arrangement: Must be full-time on-site in Manchester

Key Skills Needed:

  • Machine Learning
  • Generative AI (GenAI)
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Customer Engagement / Consultancy
  • Technical aptitude: ML, data science, computer vision, and deep learning

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to:
    • Identify business challenges and propose AI-driven solutions.
    • Translate technical insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
    • Lead Agile teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Utilise expertise in:
    • Generative AI, NLP, deep learning, graph/time-series analysis
    • Solution architecture & software engineering
  • Collaborate on privately and publicly funded projects with cross-functional teams.

Key Skills & Requirements

— Technique Proficiency

  • Generative AI, NLP, deep learning, time-series analysis, graph analytics
  • Machine learning (scalable model development & deployment)
  • Knowledge of AI ethics & responsible innovation – especially for public sector projects.

— Technical Expertise

  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Data science platforms: Databricks, AzureML.
  • Infrastructure/orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
  • CI/CD pipelines & cloud-native application lifecycle management.
