Enhanced DV Cleared Data Scientist / AI Engineer (Manchester)
About the Role
New Permanent Opportunity for a Data Scientist / AI Engineer with Active Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DV) Clearance in Manchester.
Junior to Lead level roles available:
- Salary Range: £45k to £95k (depending on experience**, DoE)
- Additional Bonus: 15% clearance bonus included
- Work Arrangement: Must be full-time on-site in Manchester
Key Skills Needed:

- Customer Engagement / Consultancy
- Technical aptitude: ML, data science, computer vision, and deep learning

Responsibilities
- Work with clients to:
- Identify business challenges and propose AI-driven solutions.
- Translate technical insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Lead Agile teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Utilise expertise in:
- Generative AI, NLP, deep learning, graph/time-series analysis
- Solution architecture & software engineering
- Collaborate on privately and publicly funded projects with cross-functional teams.
Key Skills & Requirements
— Technique Proficiency
- Generative AI, NLP, deep learning, time-series analysis, graph analytics
- Machine learning (scalable model development & deployment)
- Knowledge of AI ethics & responsible innovation – especially for public sector projects.
— Technical Expertise
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Data science platforms: Databricks, AzureML.
- Infrastructure/orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
- CI/CD pipelines & cloud-native application lifecycle management.
