Senior Data Architecture Consultant – Hybrid Cloud & Financial Services

Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will:

  • Design end-to-end data architecture solutions covering:
    • Ingestion
    • Storage
    • Processing
    • Consumption layers
  • Define cross-cloud and cross-organisational data-sharing frameworks (e.g., Snowflake Data Sharing)
  • Collaborate with Group Security and Compliance to ensure architectures align with:
    • BCBS 239 (Banking regulations)
    • GDPR (Data privacy standards)
  • Lead the decommissioning roadmap for on-premises data applications, mapping legacy systems to AWS/Snowflake migrations.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

✅ Architectural Experience

  • Proven ability to architect large-scale hybrid cloud (AWS + Snowflake) data solutions
  • End-to-end data architecture design: stiching together ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers

✅ Domain Knowledge

  • Deep expertise in private banking, wealth management, or financial services data regulations
  • Strong awareness of data governance, security, and compliance trends in regulatory environments

✅ Certifications & Frameworks

  • TOGAF certification (or equivalent)
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialist or AWS Data Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Experience with Snowflake architecture, optimisation, and data governance
